On March 9 at 18:25, Nagai City issued a city-wide warning broadcast after footprints believed to be from a bear were confirmed in the Kurakyo area of Kanjindai. The city advised that a bear may still be in the vicinity, urged caution during outdoor work and outings, and asked residents not to leave attractants such as discarded agricultural produce or food waste outdoors.

Around 15:00 on November 16, 2025, a single bear about 70 cm long was found in a persimmon tree on the grounds of a residence in Takadama, Shirataka Town, and was culled by emergency shooting about one hour later. The house was mostly vacant, and the town has warned residents after several days of repeated bear sightings in the area.
