Around 17:00 on November 9, two bears about 1 meter long were sighted on the riverbed near Hotarumi Bridge in Koisawa, Isawa-cho, Fuefuki City, Yamanashi Prefecture. Police patrolled the area after the report but did not find the bears.

Around 08:30 on the 7th, 15 footprints about 15 cm long were found in a vineyard surrounded by houses in Yokonecho, Kofu City, believed to be from an adult bear over 1 meter long. About 2 km west near JR Zenkōji Station a cub of about 50 cm was sighted four days earlier, and the city is urging caution and immediate reporting of sightings.
