At around 11:00 PM on Friday, June 19, in Sakuta area, Rachikizaki, Shinchi Town, on the prefectural road Kaneyama–Shinchi Station Line, a man in his 30s, while driving, sighted one animal believed to be a bear (approximately 1 m in length) walking on the prefectural road. After proceeding west along the prefectural road, the animal believed to be the bear left the area in an unknown direction.
