Around 22:20 on the 13th, a resident of an apartment near Reiyabashi in Aoba Ward, Sendai, spotted five bears on the Hirose River riverbed. According to police, the five bears ran northward along the riverbed.

At around 22:40 on November 13, 2025, a security guard at Zuihoden spotted a single bear about 1 meter long climbing a tree on the grounds. The bear fled toward the west/Hirose River area when illuminated by a light; there were no injuries, and Zuihoden has closed the western portion of its grounds (about half of the roughly 10,000 m² site) until further notice.

A 13-year-old male pony named "Pochan" near the Hirose River in Yonekabukuro, Aoba Ward, refused for several days to approach the river on walks after a bear sighting in Mukaiyama 2-chome, Taihaku Ward at the end of October. Owner Mitsuko Nishikawa says when the pony refuses to go, she treats it as a sign of potential bear danger and avoids the walk.
