Around 20:00 on the 13th, a man in his 50s spotted a bear about 1 meter long on a city road in Niya Minamihama-cho, Akita City. The bear was about 5 meters from a residence and roughly 850 meters from a nearby junior high school; the Akita Central Police are patrolling the area by patrol car and warning residents.
