Hearing a crackling/rustling sound, I looked toward the noise and saw a bear about 1–1.2 m in body length. The bear appeared twice around 10:00 and each time went back into the brush.

[Report] I found this during my commute. It is definitely animal droppings. I think it’s slightly smaller than a clenched fist. (Note from the Forestry and Agricultural Maintenance Division: The size is small for bear droppings and it looks like droppings from a small animal.)
