Just after 17:00 on November 15, a person walking a dog spotted one bear in a field in Shioyama Mikkaichiba, Kōshū City and reported it to the city. The sighting was about 200 meters west of Enzan High School, and the city and police have urged caution.

Around 16:30 on the 12th, two droppings about 10 cm in diameter believed to be from a bear were found in a field in Mikkaichiba, Enzan area, Kōshū City. The city installed a capture box trap about 2 m long and 1 m high near the site and urged people not to go out alone.
