At around 23:30 on the 19th, a resident spotted an animal resembling a bear in a paddy field in Ooyori-cho, Nagahama City; the sighting was reported at about 23:40. The sighting location is about 200 meters from a nursery school and 800 meters from a junior high school, and police have increased patrols during commuting times.
