In Nakahechi, Tanabe City, a moon bear was found caught in a box trap set for wild boar by a local hunter around noon on November 16. The approximately 1-meter, estimated 1-year-old female was implanted with an identification microchip on the 17th and released into the mountains away from the settlement as a mistaken capture.
