On the morning of December 4, 2025, a staff member spotted a juvenile bear inside the Forestry Experiment Station Arboretum in Sannomiya-machi, Hakusan City, and reported it to the city. The park closed its entrance, evacuated visitors, and is scheduled to remain closed for about one week.
