Possible sighting, we heard something similar to a bear vocalisation and heavy steps in the weeds behind the stine japanese lantern. Also on the same road we heard possible bear cubs.

A black cub (perhaps an adult) was found in a tree. There may have been two.

A single bear was sighted about 100 meters southeast of Musashiyokote Station in Hidaka City, Saitama Prefecture; claw marks and feces were found on a persimmon tree in a private garden. A postal worker saw the bear on November 15, reported it on the 18th, and city staff with local hunters inspected the site on the 19th.
