Around 05:30 on the 17th, three bears appeared on private residential grounds in Iriku, Yanai City, Yamaguchi Prefecture; a security camera recorded the three walking in a single file. One bear measured about 120 cm and the other two about 100 cm, and no injuries were reported.

At around 5:30 a.m. on May 16, three bears appeared on the grounds of a residence in Iriku, Yanai City, Yamaguchi Prefecture; security-camera footage showed the three bears walking in a line toward the mountains. One bear was about 120 cm long and two were about 100 cm. No injuries were reported. Police are patrolling the area and urging caution.
