A bear was sighted near the scene. The bear crossed the river and entered the mountains toward the west side of Inagawa Ski Area. Body length approximately 0.8–1.0 m. Police were notified; they patrolled and kept watch at the scene. No damage reported in the surrounding area. The sighting location was about 250 meters from a residence.
