Around 13:30 on April 1, a woman in her 50s spotted a single bear about 1.5 meters long on the riverbank embankment in Iizaka-machi Hirano, Fukushima City. The bear ran south along the embankment; no human or property damage has been reported. Police are patrolling the area by patrol car and advising residents to be cautious.

The bear moved into a field; no injuries or property damage were reported, and the police informed Fukushima City and are conducting patrols in the area.
