While driving over Masaka Pass, spotted a mother and cubs in the woods along the roadside near Masaka Bridge. Mother about 1 m, cub about 30 cm. About 700 m to the nearest house.

While driving, saw a bear about 70–80 cm on a bridge. It seemed to leap into the river from the middle, then, perhaps giving up, crossed the bridge and went into the river. About 30 m to the nearest house.

While driving, a brown bear suddenly darted out from the road toward the cemetery to the north. It came within about 10 m of the observer’s car, then returned along the same road. Length over 1 m. About 100 m to a house.
