Around 17:15 on November 25, 2025, a local resident sighted a bear among trees in the Une district of Yokose Town, Saitama Prefecture. The town and the hunting association investigated and found footprints believed to be from a bear cub; the site is about 500 meters southwest of Yokose Station.

Around 16:00 on November 6, one bear was sighted in woodland about 50 meters east of the summit of Hanasakiyama Park in Yokoze Town. Earlier that day at about 08:00, feces believed to be from a bear were found about 600 meters north of the park, roughly 150 meters southeast of Choko-ji Temple, and footprints were found on October 17 about 300 meters northeast of Choko-ji.
