Mount Ibuki has seen a fresh black bear report in Ooyori cho, Nagahama City on November 20, 2025, when a resident spotted a bear like animal in a paddy field at about 23:30 and called it in around 23:40. A cub was also sighted near Teratani Fureai Park at Anegawa Dam Park in Maibara City on November 16, 2025, and the park was closed for safety starting around 15:00 on November 17.
