Mount Myōkō saw a black bear on April 24, 2026 in Shinano Kashiwabara, where an adult was reported. On April 20, 2026, another bear in Myoko 大字坂口新田 moved along a nearby block fence and fled into the woods, and the same day a bear tried to cross National Route 18 from the west before turning back into the mountains.
