Around 14:00 on May 20 in Susono City, Shizuoka Prefecture, tourists filmed a bear near the parking area in Suyama Jurigi. The city decided to temporarily close the parking area and reported that at about 18:30 and 18:50 the same day drivers near a villa area about 2 km away also saw an animal believed to be a bear; authorities advised carrying noise-making devices such as bells or radios.
