The bear left for the woods afterward; no damage has been reported, and police together with the village office are urging residents to be cautious (the area was also reported to have a sighting on the morning of the 15th, indicating two consecutive days of appearances).

At around 07:30 on April 15, a passerby driving along National Route 459 in Kitashiobara Village (Hibara Kengamine) observed a single bear approximately 1 meter long standing in the woodland beside the road. No injuries or damage were reported.
