May 19, 2026, around 17:30 — A brown bear was observed walking across a pasture toward residential houses in the vicinity of Tsurui Village, Yukisato Genya North Line 19 West 51. Attempts to chase it off were made, but it did not retreat and continued toward the houses. The bear was captured on the same day.
