Around 15:30 on the 11th, a bear was reported near woodland slightly away from a temple in Ono Town, Gifu Prefecture, and a hunter commissioned by the town shot and killed one bear. The culled bear is believed to be the same adult about 1 meter long that was sighted in the temple parking lot on the 7th.

In Ono Town, Gifu Prefecture, sightings of bears have increased since November 7. An apparently adult bear appeared on the grounds of a temple, stayed for about 2.5 hours before returning to the mountain, and local hunting associations have set capture traps in the nearby slopes and remain on alert.
