At around 00:40 on the 17th, a single bear-like animal about 1 meter long was seen moving from the central median of National Route 490 in Nakamura, Ube City; a nearby resident observed it from the second floor of their home. The site is about 200 meters northwest of the spa 'Furespa Land Katta no Yu'; there were no injuries and police are patrolling the area and urging caution.
