Tsuri Kichi Sanpei No Ie

On November 9, 2025 at around 06:20, a 78-year-old woman at the entrance of a house in Babame, Gojome Town, Akita Prefecture encountered a bear and had her face scratched. An 83-year-old man was also attacked at his entrance; in total three people were injured. Police are investigating the details.

On the morning of the 9th, at around 06:05 in the residential grounds of Babame, Gojome Town, a 78-year-old woman was attacked by a bear and suffered scratches to her face and arm; her 50-year-old daughter who rushed to help sustained a wound to her left thigh. Around 06:30 at the entrance of a house in Kogarawa, Misato Town, an 83-year-old man was attacked and injured on his right cheek and under his left eye; the attacking bear left the scene together with another bear. In both cases the victims were transported to hospital and were able to speak.
