In the early morning a roughly 1.5-meter bear was seen in the parking lot of a commercial area in Tsuruoka City. Because the sighting occurred where busy stores such as Yamazawa and DAIYU EIGHT are located, the city and police have stepped up patrols and warnings, and no damage has been reported.
