According to the city, at around 17:10 on the 3rd a bear-like animal (one individual) was sighted on a street in Higashi-Aota 3-chome, Yamagata City. Earlier, at about 05:00 on the 30th a bear was reported entering the grounds of a middle school in Akane-ga-oka 3-chome, and the city has warned residents to be cautious.
