On the inner bank on the right side of the Ani River, I confirmed a mother bear and two cubs. I found them while traveling along the river embankment road; when the mother noticed my presence, she stood up and threatened. At the same time the cub climbed a tree. The mother left immediately, but after confirming the mother's departure, the cub climbed down and followed the mother. The area was overgrown with weeds, so the bear's whereabouts could not be confirmed.

[Post] From the chestnut tree I usually observe from, I tracked downstream along the right bank of the Ani River for about 300 m, but thick brush blocked crossing; it is unclear whether it crossed. There are persimmon trees nearby with fruit ripening, so it may appear there next. I could not take photos while driving.
