Shortly after 16:00 on the 4th, a woman working outdoors in Iwatsuki-machi, Kitakata City, Fukushima, spotted a single bear about 1 meter long moving through a rice field west of her home. No damage has been confirmed, and police are patrolling the area, providing information to Kitakata City and urging residents to be cautious.

At around 20:40 on November 16, a single bear about 0.5 m long was sighted in a vacant lot south of Sakuragaoka Park in Kitakata. The following morning at 06:50 on November 17, a bear of similar size was also seen on Route 459 (Kitakata, Yamatocho Kohata Kitamukai), and no injuries or property damage were reported; the bear later entered the forest.

Around 1:33 AM on October 11, on a road in Kitakata City, Koshakami area, a witness viewing live security camera footage observed a bear about 1.5 m moving south on the west side of the road. A police officer at the scene also observed another bear about 50 cm on the south side of a private residence. The two bears joined, but their whereabouts afterward are unknown.
