Touto Chichibu Kantorii Kurabu

Around 07:00 on November 27, 2025, a bear-like animal was sighted northeast of Funakubo Bridge (about 250 m) in Maita, Chichibu City. The area also had a sighting on the evening of the 26th near the intersection of Prefectural Route 44 and National Route 140 bypass in Kobashira, where a driver reported a roughly 80 cm-long bear; no footprints have been confirmed and authorities have warned residents to be cautious.
