On Friday, June 26 at around 4:40 p.m., a witness (male in his 70s) observed a bear (one individual, approximately 1 m in body length) in Ogawa, Uenoji area, Tadami Town. The bear was seen climbing a tree near a nearby shrine while the witness was working. The bear had already left the area and its subsequent whereabouts are unknown.

Around 7:10 PM on October 19, in Kurotani, Tadami Town, the driver in a regular passenger car traveling south on a town road collided with a bear about 1 m that ran from the west field onto the road. The bear’s whereabouts afterward are unknown.
