The bear was observed from about 50 meters away and left toward the mountains; the driver was not injured. Police checked the scene but found no traces and have warned nearby residents.

At around 03:30 on November 8, 2025, a newspaper delivery driver in Uzura, Assabu Town, spotted a single bear about 1.5 meters long crossing a town road and reported it to the police. While on alert, police found bear droppings on a town road about 500 meters from the sighting and were still patrolling the area as of 08:00.
