[Post] On the way back by car from Kuroyu Onsen in the Nyuto Onsenkyo, I spotted one on the side of the road ahead. When the car passed, it went off toward the woods.

[Post] While driving, a not-very-large bear crossed in front and went into the trees.

[Post] I encountered a bear on the way from Tsurunoyu Onsen to the old road entrance, so I turned back. I was roughly at the mid-point (about a 10-minute walk from there). I didn’t see the suspension bridge or the Tourir forest sign, so I think I was before that point. Not sure whether the bear was behind me or looking my way, so I considered a tall two-legged person. I zoomed with my phone and realized it was a bear, so it was fairly far away. Whether it noticed my loud music, I don’t know, but the bear walked slowly from right to left. The photo is zoomed. This was my first time seeing a live bear; it looked fairly big, and neither bear looked like a cub.
