There were no injuries. The city has put up warning signs, increased patrols and is issuing alerts via disaster radio.

Around 06:00 on November 15, 2025, a resident reported seeing an animal believed to be a bear walking south of the Choshizuka kofun in Sone Kyuryo Park, Kofu. The animal moved northeast, no injuries were reported, investigators found no traces on site, and park managers canceled barbecue use while the city installed warning signs, stepped up patrols, and issued alerts via disaster radio.
