In October, at Sebi Onsen in Iwasaki Shinden, Waga, Kitakami City, a male employee was attacked and killed by a bear while cleaning the open-air bath. The facility has closed the open-air bath and is strengthening safety measures such as installing surveillance cameras and iron grilles along the riverside.
