[Post] While driving from Tatenomaru Shokudo in Akita City toward Hamada, I saw a bear near the foot of Mt. Omoriyama trying to come onto the road. It noticed the car, stayed on guard, and disappeared into the bushes. Sorry, no dashcam. Body length about 1 m.

The Akita Central Police stated the nearest house was about 60 meters away; patrol cars warned residents, and the zoo increased in-park announcements and firecracker use, stepped up staff patrols, and switched automatic doors to manual operation.

[Report] Entered the No. 2 park within the municipal housing area from the Omoriyama Zoo direction and tried to enter the entrances of buildings 7 and 8 of the municipal housing, but the doors were closed so it could not get in.
