At around 07:10 on May 8, a single bear was sighted in Nakaibayashi, Hachinohe City, Aomori Prefecture (about 400 meters west of Nakaibayashi Park). No damage was reported; the city has warned local residents and the hunters' association is responding by setting box traps.
