Shikaoi Chuuou Kouen

Around 18:00 on November 14, 2025, a bear about 1.5 m long appeared approximately 3 meters beside a running route bus on Dodo (road) Uramaku Nishi 28-sen in Shikaoi Town, Hokkaido, then ran toward the JSDF Shikaribetsu training ground. The bus was in service but had no passengers; the driver was unharmed, and police are warning residents because the area has bus stops and many ranches.
