Around 11:20 on March 27, a passerby in the Mitsuwari Hachinokawa area of Morioka City reported seeing one Asiatic black bear cross the road and enter the bushes. As of 13:00 there were no confirmed injuries or property damage. The prefecture issued a bear sighting advisory on March 24.
