Post: In a farm road beside the rice fields in Kosaka Town, Kosaka Aza Kakishita 37, there was one adult bear about 1 m long and two cubs about 50 cm long. The adult bear led them south along the farm road. They then entered the brush on the west side of the road, climbed the slope to observe, crossed the town road, and went into the western forest. The mother bear appeared smaller than expected for a mother-and-cubs, and this family has been sighted several times around the Sunazawa settlement this year. About 50 meters from houses.

[Post] A bear about 1.2 m long was on the embankment beside a rotation buckwheat field. It was sitting and seemed to be watching a worker about 100 meters ahead. It then moved into the western mountains. This rotation buckwheat field has frequent bear incursions and harvests have been ruined. About 100 meters to Kosaka Town Sakazawa Water Purification Plant.

[Post] There was a bear about 1.2 m long in a rotated soba field in Kosaka Town, Kosaka Aza Mukō 152. When it noticed the sound of a light truck, it walked along the embankment beside the soba field and moved into the eastern woodland. In this soba field, soba trampling suspected to be caused by bears was confirmed yesterday morning and this morning as well. About 200 m from houses.

Post: In a rice field at Matsukura, Kosaka-cho (Matsukura Exit 29), there was a mother bear about 1.2 m long and two cubs about 50 cm and 40 cm long. The mother waited on the embankment beside the field; when the cubs came out, they went together into the brush on the east bank of the Sunagozawa River. The cubs differed in size. About 300 meters to the Sunagozawa Water Treatment Plant in Kosaka.

After noticing a light truck, it crossed the water channel into the north woods. This soba field has had bears enter before, but since the owner installed an electric fence, bears reportedly haven’t entered.
