At around 01:45 on the 25th, a resident of a nearby condominium in Yaotome Chuo 5-chome, Izumi Ward, Sendai, reported seeing two bears about 60 cm long walking east along a sidewalk and notified police. The bears left the scene without causing injuries, and police are patrolling the area.
