At around 17:35 on March 13, 2026, three bears about 1 m in length were sighted in a woodland area of Fuji-machi, Sano City. The sighting location was about 440 m southwest of the Kamifuji Town community center and roughly 1 km east of Tobu Sano Line Yoshimizu Station; their subsequent movements are unknown.
