Two bears about 1 m long (not a parent and child; possibly two juvenile bears) ran from the east-side mountain down to the Osawa River, then returned to the mountain. On the morning of April 23 another bear was also seen in the same way, so there may be a settled population in the area.

[Report] While driving on the prefectural road, I sighted a bear about 1.2 meters long in a rice field beside the road. Before I could point my camera, the bear noticed the vehicle and fled to the woodland to the southeast.
