Around 01:00 on the 13th, a driver near the south side of Ishinomaki Senshu University in Ishinomaki City saw a single bear about 1.5 meters long run across the road from south to north. When police arrived there were no sightings or traces of the bear, no injuries or property damage were reported, and authorities warned the university and nearby residents to be cautious.
