At around 11:35 on the 18th, a man in his 60s driving on National Route 105 in Animizu Ani (Miyago), Kitaakita City, Akita Prefecture, spotted a bear about 1 meter long. According to the Kitaakita police, the bear was about 5 meters from nearby houses, and the police have warned residents in the area.
