On Tuesday, March 31 at approximately 11:21 a.m., in the Yabuchi area within Mt. Yamagata, Inawashiro Town, a witness traveling by vehicle on National Route 49 from Aizuwakamatsu toward Koriyama observed a bear (about 60 cm in body length) sitting in the brush on the right side.
