On November 27 in Aomori City, two bears believed to be a parent and cub (about 1.5 m and about 50 cm) were sighted multiple times in residential areas and near schools; a sighting was reported near Aburakawa Station around 20:30. Aomori Higashi High School issued an announcement, locked windows and entrances, about 80 students were handed to guardians and sent home, and no damage was reported.
