Around 13:00 on the 9th, one bear was sighted east of the Shimizu Iihara Interchange on the Shin-Tomei Expressway in Yamagiri, Shimizu Ward, Shizuoka City; a witness called 110 saying it fled to a pond. The witness reported the bear's length as about 1.6 meters, and the city has warned nearby residents via radio announcements.

Around 21:00 on November 27, 2025, one bear was sighted near a residence in Kitanumaue, Aoi Ward, Shizuoka City; a resident reported hearing an animal cry, opening the door, and the bear running away. Multiple claw marks were found on a nearby persimmon tree, the city searched the area, and a nearby elementary school asked parents to pick up children by car.
