On November 27 in Aomori City, two bears believed to be a parent and cub (about 1.5 m and about 50 cm) were sighted multiple times in residential areas and near schools; a sighting was reported near Aburakawa Station around 20:30. Aomori Higashi High School issued an announcement, locked windows and entrances, about 80 students were handed to guardians and sent home, and no damage was reported.

Around 18:30 on November 26, 2025, two bears believed to be a parent and cub were sighted near Aomori Higashi High School. The larger bear was estimated at about 1 m in length and the other at about 50–60 cm; sightings were also reported earlier and later that day near a junior high and an elementary school. City officials, police, and the hunters' association are patrolling and monitoring the area.
