Around 13:30 on the 18th, a man driving on a prefectural road in Kyūishihara, Nihonmatsu City, Fukushima, spotted a bear about 1 meter long crossing the road from north to south. The bear reportedly entered the forest afterward; no damage has been confirmed in the area, and police are patrolling by patrol car and urging residents to be cautious.

Around 3:18 PM on February 28, near Nagata, Ninomatsu City, within a national forest along Prefectural Route 386 (Dake Onsen Line), a witness (a woman in her 40s) observed one bear while jogging, crossing the prefectural road from north to south. Afterwards, the bear entered the forest to the south and disappeared from view.
