At around 16:25 on November 19, 2025, a surveillance camera near Kamimon Pass captured three bears. The Mombetsu Police announced that bears have been sighted repeatedly across the prefecture in both urban and non-urban areas and urged people not to approach and to evacuate to a safe location.
